Trying to live a healthier lifestyle can be a challenge when you’re feeling stretched thin. After all, it’s not easy to fit workouts and healthy meals into an already jam-packed schedule.
But the truth is, exercising and eating well won’t just support your health, it’ll also give you the balance you need to make it through another crazy day.
Here are some tips that’ll get you started.

Exercise Whenever You Can

Getting up twenty minutes earlier than usual makes for enough time to exercise, tone muscles and start your day off right. Squats, push-ups and lunges cover the bases, and if you have time add abdominal crunches into the mix. Even just walking for more than four hours per week can support your overall health.

Stop At One Glass Of Wine

You have heard that one glass of red wine per day can provide health benefits, so why not two or three? The fact is, more is not always better when it comes to your health. This is especially true for women, who are more susceptible to the effects of excessive alcohol than men.

Eat The Right Food

Although it might save you time, eating fast food may expose you to excessive salt, sugar and saturated fats. The next time you’re in a rush, try frozen vegetables and fruits. They’re convenient and generally as fresh as store-bought produce. For a quick and easy meal, try a sandwich with low salt turkey, or make a smoothie with added protein. If you’re still having a hard time getting all the nutrients you need, a multivitamin and fish oil supplements will help you fill nutritional gaps.
Even if your schedule is out of control, taking these small steps can support your wellbeing and help you take on whatever life throws your way.
